When I was young
              I had a notion
That all of life
              was one vast ocean

A drop of rain
              is all I am
From the stream of life
              to the ocean ran

I pruned a tree
              and laid a rock
I had some kids
              to beat the clock



The rain tonight
              it falls in waves
These words of mine
              no moment saves
